Welcome to the CAT Lab!
The Critical Art and Technology Lab (CATLab) uses emergent forms of art, design and digital media to critically engage with broad questions regarding justice, equity and inclusion. Our work utilizes diverse tools and tactics ranging from apps, to digital games, AR/VR and tangible interfaces as part of a research and practice-based approach to exploring new modes of creative inquiry for social change.
The CAT Lab was founded by Dr. Sarah Schoemann, an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science at College of Charleston, in 2021.
